Excellent Introduction to Seth's Phenomenology

I started reading Roberts' books in the late 70s and recently finished Book 1 of The Early Sessions. To be honest I wish I could have read the Early Sessions first. They provide the gateway through which Roberts and her husband absorbed Seth's ideas and in my opinion after just 2 volumes of the series, this is clearly the best way to begin exploring and trying out Seth's concepts and exercises.

Great Book

I highly recommend all of the 'Early Session' books. I have been a fan of all the Seth books and have read them on and off for years. The 'Early Sessions' gave me insights I didn't get from the other material and that is why I love them.

About the Author
Jeff Manza is Professor of Sociology at New York University. Christopher Uggen is Distinguished McKnight Professor of Sociology at the University of Minnesota.

Lynne A. Haney is Professor of Sociology at New York University. She is the author of "Inventing the Needy: Gender, Politics, and State Development in Hungary" and a coauthor of "Global Ethnography: Forces, Connections, and Imaginations in a Postmodern World" (both available from UC Press). Donald VanDeVeer, Ph.D., University of Chicago, is a Professor Emeritus of Philosophy at North Carolina State University. In addition to books on environmental ethics, he has also published works on health care ethics, public policy, and paternalistic intervention.

Christine Pierce, Ph.D., Syracuse University, is an ethicist and feminist theorist. Her work includes projects on environmental ethics, gender, individualism, communitarianism, and feminist ethics. Other scholarship includes an ongoing defense of rational ethical principles in light of postmodernism and other skepticisms.

Definitely a great book for those people who aren't into ethical theories or don't understand much about environmental policies. Definitely helped me through my environmental ethics class! Has great information and is very clear. The authors know how to explain all the terms and are concise in their arguments/ideals.

Even more fantastic dragons!

DragonArt Evolution expands on the previous book from J. "NeonDragon" Peffer, DragonArt, giving a full treatment to the art of drawing dragons. As in her previous book, she provides a plethora of easy to follow step-by-step instructions with her inspiring art. This is an amazing book for anyone who loves dragon-inspired art, or wants to create their own dragon artwork.

The sections in the Introduction were repeated from the first DragonArt book, with the exception of Color And Pattern Considerations. In contrast, Part 1 is much elaborated and detailed than similar sections in the before mentioned book. However, Part 2 is the best part of this book, with page after page full of tutorials about drawing dragons. Here you will learn how to draw all sort of dragons, showing dragon heads from front, side and 3/4 view, and full dragon views. I also found the Dragon Scene section to be interesting albeit short, providing an overview on how the scenes found in this book were painted digitally.

There should be plenty of dragons for every one in this book. However, 144 pages were not enough for me, but that is because I can never get enough from J. Peffer's artwork.

Evolution - better than the last two

I grabbed this book mostly because of a desire to have some of the art available for browsing on my shelf, and not so much because I needed help drawing. As someone who's been comfortable with the way I draw my own dragons for some time, let me say that this book can still be just as enjoyable and helpful for new dragon artists as it is for those of you who've been drawing for a little while. It is packed with things like choosing color combos and patterns, variations on limbs, physical features such as horns, drawing baby dragons - things that could even be applied to other fantasy creatures, in some cases. I will agree with what has already been said, and that is that this book doesn't cover just one type of dragon. You will find options to consider for western dragons, eastern dragons ... heck, even a little bit of the undead.

Perhaps one of my favorite parts to this book is the last few pages. The artist has inserted a brief section on how she creates and colors her art digitally. This was particularly interesting for me to see, since observing another artist's methods is always fun.

Over all, I would say that this book is geared more toward the new/intermediate artist. However, that doesn't mean that as an accomplished professional, you have to rule it out :)

The item was in perfect conditions and shipped promptly. This is an excellent book for those who are interested in XVII century France. The book is more enjoyable for a reader familiar with the history and the literature of the time period.

Une biographie magnifique

Je ne suis qu'une adolescente et pourtant jamais livre ne m'a autant plut! Cette biographie de la marquise de Maintenon (presque inconnue aux Etat-Unis mais très célèbre en France) par Françoise Chandernagor est un vrai chef d'oeuvre! On y voit l'assension d'une femme de petite noblesse qui, enfant, mandiait dans les rues sombres de La Rochelle... Elle sera Reine, femme d'un des plus grand monarque que la France ait connu, à une époque ou ce pays dominait l'Europe, c'est à dire tout le monde occidental. A-t-on jamais vu destin plus grandiose?
